Our very successful Swindon based client is currently seeking a Communications and PR professional with a flair for copywriting, media relations, strategic thinking and sound commercial judgement to join their marketing team to deliver all marketing communication and PR activities. You will need to be a quick learner with a proven track record of delivering across every aspect of the marketing communications mix to both B2B and B2B2C audiences, preferably within a professional services arena, to build brand awareness and strategic relationships.
Reporting to the marketing manager the main task of the role consists of helping to deliver the marketing communications strategy. This will involve executing integrated communication campaigns, implementing communication plans including research and idea generation, writing coherent and accurate press releases, writing well informed copy for trade, corporate and business communications, newsletters, interviews, case studies and social media content. You will also be required to build and maintain effective working relationships with key contacts within the media industry, develop new angels and place stories in a cross section of print and online media and proactively seek and identify publicity opportunities. Other key tasks will include effectively briefing designers, printers and other suppliers, engaging in and reporting on market research as well as customer engagement activity, and competitor presence.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
-Broad marketing experience spanning the full marketing mix, particularly PR, in a B2B environment, preferably professional services
-A proven track record in initiating, producing and executing professional online and offline marcomms materials to drive brand awareness, trade press coverage, social media engagement and internal communications
-Outstanding copywriting skills; emails, blogs, press releases, whitepapers, proposals, presentations and literature
-Conviction in your ideas and an ability to present well-written arguments for promoting and initiating projects and communication campaigns
-Ability to manage multiple projects and third party agencies simultaneously
-Marketing or communications qualification or Business degree in marketing, communications or PR preferred
-Excellent computer literacy – Microsoft (Desktop publishing suites), social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, forums and blogs) andCRM (Microsoft Dynamics), knowledge of Click Dimensions would be advantageous, as would SurveyMonkey and GoToWebinar and competencies with Audio/visual packages
We’ll be looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and agile environment with a flair for writing and building strategic relationships, complemented by an analytical, results driven approach and outstanding attention to detail. You will need to be an excellent multitasker and team player with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
The job offers a salary of £25 – 30K plus a number of benefits including a contributory pension scheme and private healthcare.
