Salary: £40,000—40,000. Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (Contract). Reference BBBH1493

A fantastic opportunity for a Head of Artwork to join our successful client at their Cheltenham based offices. The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced and skilled Senior Artworker with thorough experience of design for branding and packaging as well as a good all round understanding of the different print processes available looking for progression. You should possess a high degree of accountability and ownership along with the skillset to achieve work to the uppermost standards with thorough knowledge of the systems and programs available to create the best quality artwork product. With the responsibility to lead a team and mentor the more junior members you need to have excellent people management skills along with the technical knowledge to offer appropriate guidance and to instigate training when necessary.

Reporting directly to the Creative Director you will be expected to lead by example, to demonstrate technical expertise, particularly in the area of print and demonstrate a willingness to improve that knowledge and to become a primary knowledgeable contact within the company in that area. You will also be expected to ensure the achievement of a high level of Best Practice within your department, manage the team and workload efficiently which will include annual appraisals, mentoring and recruitment as well as the management of freelance artworkers.

This is a full time, permanent role on offer for a salary of around £40K pa.
