Creative Assistant

Salary: £15,000—17,000. Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire (Permanent). Reference BBBH1358

A fantastic opportunity for a creative assistant with front-end web design skills to join our rapidly growing e-commerce client based on the outskirts of Gloucester. This is a varied role incorporating HTML web design, graphic design and web administration and will offer the opportunity for involvement in ad hoc tasks which will allow you to demonstrate your creative flair.

The main tasks working as part of the creative team involving web site creation, maintenance and support will include:
* Building accurate, user friendly web pages
* Cross browser testing and optimization
* Updating existing websites
* Creation of new websites based on pre-supplied information
* Graphic design of websites, stationery, and more
* Assistance with eBay Listing / Development
* Social Media Maintenance

The ideal candidate will have good HTML & CSS experience, with the ability to write code without the use of a software program, and have experience of Photoshop / Creative Suite. A keen eye for detail, layout and superb graphic design is essential. The candidate will be able to work as part of a team, as well as being able to take responsibility for sole tasks when necessary.

We’ll be looking for a proven track record of the following skills and experience:
*HTML Transitional / Strict Validation
*HTML
*CSS
*JavaScript
*Photoshop skills
*Knowledge of cross browser solutions and table-less design.
*Basic knowledge of SEO and SEM

Skills or experience in HTML5, PHP, Illustrator / InDesign or eBay Trading would be a plus, as would be Czech, German or French language skills.

This is a full time role offering a starting salary of £15 – 17K (dependant on experience) and the opportunity for career progression as you become a core member of the creative team and company where over time you will be able to see your work develop and come to fruition.
