A fantastic opportunity for a skilled, mid-level Solidworks Designer Engineer to join our well-established and successful client based in West Oxfordshire. The core purpose of the role will be to work on bespoke orders relating to specialist projects and to undertake the design, development and detailing of feasible solutions in line with customer requirements and specifications. This is a permanent and full-time role on offer for a salary of up to £30K pa, dependent on experience. Driving license and own transport would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will hold a Product Design or Industrial Design Degree and come with at least 3 years of experience from within a product design environment with experience of working on technical/specialist products and of using 3D CAD software, such as Solidworks or similar. An understanding of sheet metal fabrication and its impact on design will be of advantage. We’ll be looking for candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to identify customer’s needs and to translate a brief into a feasible design. To be successful you’ll need to be a good problem solver with the ability to think outside the box, to work well as an individual but also to be a good team worker and to actively seek cooperation with internal teams and customers alike, whilst managing your time effectively and demonstrating good organisational skills with great attention to detail.
